Jun 2009  -  Breeding at Byiadoo Back to the list

June is the month where we can see many surprise in our beautiful sea. One of these surprises is the multitude of new born fishes. Our house reef is a very good example. Just walking around the island we can see a lot of baby Black Tip Sharks swimming along the beach. Don’t be worried, they are about 15 cm. long and, overall, they are very shy and they swim away when we enter the sea. However when, during sunset or in the night, we walk on our jetty we can admire these beautiful creatures and watch their magnificent way to swim into the waves.

Sometimes we can also see some baby Sting Ray between them. Also underwater the surprises continue. All our divers at their first dive with us can see a very nice green Leaf fish, but now we can see also a baby one. Same color, same place but smaller size. When we continue our dive trip and we reach the caves a multitude of Glass Fishes surround us. You don’t believe me? Just come here and watch with your eyes...
